My Approach
A bit about me
I take a holistic and neuroaffirming approach to therapy which means that I treat the person as a whole, work from a strengths based and neurotype framework. I view neurodivergence as natural and prioritise client-led goals in therapy.
I can help you to understand and work with your nervous system to regulate emotions and understand behaviours. My approach, will always be trauma informed. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma focused ACT (TF-ACT) and Schema Therapy as therapeutic approaches however will work with you around your preferences and will use concepts from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) & Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - modified for the ADHD neurotype &/or trauma.
My style is: Warm, compassionate & supportive with a dash of humour.
About me: I am a parent, neurodivergent ally, psychologist and life long learner.
My commitment: I undertake regular and specialised training with an ADHD/neurodivergent & trauma focus and receive supervision from Psychologists who are neurodivergent and work from a neuroaffirming perspective.
